Valley View Bible Camp is a Christian summer camp located just south of MacGregor, Manitoba. Since 1962, we’ve been providing kids, teens, and families with a place to have fun, make friends, and grow in their faith.

Valley View is an extension of the local church. Our desire is to bring the Gospel to those with the least opportunity to hear it, especially children and youth, in a camp setting. We also want to help believers grow in their faith and be equipped to live and serve in His Church.

Camp is all about creating a place where people feel welcome and where there’s always something to look forward to. Whether it’s flying down the zipline, swimming, playing sports, hanging out around a campfire, or spending time with your cabin, there are plenty of opportunities to make memories and build friendships.

While summer camp is a big part of what we do, Valley View is active throughout the year. During the winter, our tubing hill gives families and groups a chance to get outside and enjoy the property. We also host a variety of discipleship events and retreats throughout the year, providing opportunities for people of all ages to grow in their relationship with Jesus and spend time in God’s Word.

At the heart of everything we do is Jesus. Through chapel, Bible studies, cabin times, worship, discipleship events, and conversations throughout the year, we want people to hear the Gospel and understand who Jesus is and what He has done for us. Our hope is that everyone who comes to Valley View leaves having had a great experience and knowing more about Jesus than when they arrived.

Valley View Bible Camp is a ministry of One Hope Canada, formerly known as CSSM Ministries. We are also accredited with the Manitoba Camping Association.

Valley View Bible Camp began as Carberry Bible Camp, which was established in 1962. Eighteen acres of leased land were cleared, and buildings were gradually added. Throughout the 1960s, improvements included the installation of hydro, the construction of a chapel, and the purchase of tents and a Director’s quarters. It was also during this time that Carberry Bible Camp became associated with CSSM, now known as One Hope Canada.

The 1970s brought more improvements to the camp. Mattresses were purchased, modern washrooms were constructed, and CBC t-shirts were introduced! Family Camp also began during this decade.

In the 1980s, the new lodge was completed, providing living quarters for staff, a dining hall, a modern kitchen, and a full basement. In 1986, Carberry Bible Camp became a year-round facility and began welcoming groups for rentals throughout the year.

The 1990s brought a number of new activities to camp, including a water slide, zipline, and a mobile spelunking maze. From welcoming 51 campers in its first year, Carberry Bible Camp grew to 650 campers by the year 2000.

In 2001, Carberry Bible Camp moved five miles south of MacGregor, Manitoba, and became Valley View Bible Camp and Retreat Centre. While the move brought a season of transition and smaller camper numbers, the camp continued to grow and has now returned to an average of around 650 campers each summer.

Valley View has continued to operate as a year-round facility, hosting its own events as well as welcoming guest groups throughout the year. During the winter months, the tubing hill brings many people onto the property and provides another opportunity to introduce our community to Valley View and its ministry.

Through every change in location, facilities, and activities, our purpose has remained the same: to point children, youth, and adults to the truth of God’s Word and the hope found in Jesus Christ.
